| Résumé : | The rooting ability of hybrid larch cuttings collected from different types of stock plants ( i :1 year -stock plants raised indoors in glass-house or outdoor under climatic cloth with different regimes of light- ii :2 year stock plants transplanted in bed in nursery) was tested in several environments ( a: in heated glass-house under closed tent - b : in heated glass-house with fog - c : under tunnel with mist - d : under small closed tunnel and climatic cloth - e : under tunnel with double wall, fog and mist). Concerning the stock plants the articificial lighting decreases the rooting percentage, whatever the rooting environment. The stock plant age has a great effect on rooting ability especially when stock plant grew in 1st year with natural ligth. The optimum lenght of the cuttings depends also on this age. The medium moisture has a strong effect on the rooting percentage especially with cuttings collected on 2 year stock plant Under small tunnel, when the moisture decreases from 50 % to 37 %, the rooting percentage decreases in average from 73% to 40 %. Two ways have to be considered for rooting of hybrid larch cuttings : i : under polyethylene with double wall, mist and fog system, i i : under closed small tunnel (1m in diatemer), this last system tested in "Les Barres" gives good results and represents a low cost facility. |
