Résumé :

This symposium jointly organised by INRA and CEMAGREF is thus designed as the final meeting of the EU project (Towards a European Larch Wood Chain) but also as a meeting of the IUFRO WP S2.02-07 group (Larch provenances and breeding). The participation of professionals from the whole forestry chain was highly desired to face scientists to the "real world" of professionals who exploit their results but also to face professionals to the exigent duties of researchers, which might explain sometimes the low speed for response to their problems. The oral communications and abstracts are resumed in the following sections : - Genetics, breeding and pathology - Physiology, ecology and silviculture - Wood properties and technology.
