En mars 2001, un Groupement d'Intérêt Scientifique intitulé " Génétique, Amélioration et Protection du Peuplier " a été crée. Il lie les activités des trois organismes en France spécialisé sur le sujet : l'AFOCEL, le Cemagref et l'INRA. Les axes stratégiques majeurs sont la recherche de cultivars performants et la conception et la gestion d'un programme d'amélioration. The three institutes AFOCEL, Cemagref and INRA have gather their scientific poplar activities in a scientific group (GIS "Genetic, Breeding and Protection"). The aim is to propose and evaluate new poplar clones and to define a common breeding program. |
