| Résumé : | The International Consultation on Research and Information Systems in Forestry (ICRIS) was organized under the sponsorship of the Governments of Austria and Indonesia, in cooperation with the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), the Forestry Department of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Union of Forestry Research Organizations (IUFRO). The conference was an inter-sessional activity in support of the International Forum on Forests (IFF) and took place from 7-10 September 1998 at the Forestry Training Center, in Ort/Gmunden, Austria. Five discussion papers and a keynote paper were presented covering the following topics: (a) capacity building research prioritization, (b) global and regional research networks, (c) research, (d) funding, and (e) information technology. |
