Résumé :
|
Experiments demonstrate significant variations in recruitment rates, faunal composition and diversity of artificial cryptic reef communities as a function of substratum area. habitat selection apparently related to differences in water movements around small and large substrata, is interprated as a mechanism for location of refuges from spatial competition. environmental or regional comparisons of fouling studies based upon data from different-sized-substrata are subject to serious misinterpretation.
