Objectives: consolidate the findings of the consultation on management strategies for European inland fisheries and aquaculture for the twenty-first century with respect to the environmental, biological and socio-economic features of recreational fisheries - Identify the factors which influence, enhance or inhibit the present use and future development of recreational fisheries - Develop strategic guidelines for the effective management - Consider the need for a code of good practice for fishermen taking part in recreational fishing.
