This book is account of a conference "the effects of land use on fresh waters" held at the university of stirling in june 1985. the conference focused on the effects of four major uses of land on freshwater above and below ground - agriculture, forestry, urbanisation and the exploitation of minerals. in each case, presentations dealt with the types of problem associated with each class of use and any remedial measures available to tackle the problems.
