Résumé :

The objective of the study reported in this thesis is to develop a satisfactory model for predicting the rate of heat transfer across the air curtain. This model should indicate the effect of outlet velocity as well as the discharge angle and the nozzle opening. Availability of such a model will aid in the design of air curtains and should even permit determination of outlet velocity, discharge angle and nozzle opening which results in a minimum heat transfer rate.
