| Résumé : | This consolidated report summarises the results found in years 1 and 2 by the partners of sub-task 4.1. (mass-production of improved varieties) of "Larch Wood Chain" European project. The activities dealt with: - flower stimulation and seed orchard management (influence of girdling, hormonal treatments, root-pruning, nitrogen fertilisation in conventional and indoor containerised orchards) - pollen technology (technical and economic studies in pollen collection, pollen viability assessment) and artificial pollination (mass-pollination, electrostatic pollination) - seed technology (influence of cone collection date on seed viability, comparison of seed extraction techniques). |
