Dr Philip Howse behaviour and is an expert in insect his section deals with the way pheromones affect the behaviour and ecology of pest species. The late Dr Ian Stevens was a chemist and his section brings a detailed knowledge of the chemical structures and diversity of pheromones as well as the methodology involved in the isolation and synthesis of these compounds. Dr Owen Jones is a biologist working in the pest management industry and his section gives an introduction to the practical applidation of pheromone techniques out in the field.
