Résumé :
|
As part of the interdisciplinary research programme concerned with the French Upper-Rhone River, the purpose of this work is to develop a method of evaluation, based on aquatic and semi-aquatic macrophytes ( hydrophytes, helophytes ) for application to the study of function and succession of former river channels. The study is based on the comparaison of former channels within five flood plains (the Brégnier-Cordon, Brangues, Serrière de Briord and Jons sectors of the Rhone River and the lower Ain River ) using the synchronic method of ecosystem analysis. These flood plains present numerous sets of former channels differing in age, geomorphological pattern and type of connection with the main river.
