The forty-five papers in these proceedings have been selected from those presented at the highly successful 6th International Conference on Wetland Systems for Wtare Pollution Control. Six papers are invited keynote addresses which review aspects of wetland system from an authoritative and up-to-date perspective. he remaining papers are divided into the following themes: industrial wastewaters; ecology of microorganisms and natural systems; wetland processes; combined systems; role of plants; design of wetlands; wetland hydraulics; hospital wastewater; and stormwater and runoff.
