This work contains descriptions of many different distributions used in statistical theory and applications, each with its own percularities distinguishing it from others. The book is intended primarily for reference. We have included a large number of formulas ans results. Also we have tried to give adequate bibliographical notes and references to enable interested readers to pursue topics in greater depth. Altough detailed proofs are not provided, we give outlines for proofs in many place to facilitate the use of the net for seminars or for self-study.
