Résumé :
|
The collection of new observational data and the need for better information in computer models has led to a questioning of the fundamental concepts of surface water hydrology. The book is an attempt to put the results of this new work together for the first time in a research-level text. The authors who have contributed to this book are all active in the field of hillslope hydrology and bring different viewpoints to the subject which reveal the variety of opinion normal to a developing subject. Each chapter may therefore be read in isolation, and contains an introduction which sets out the author's view in the context of hillslope hydrology as a whole. Apart from this necessary duplication, the chapter topics have been designed to provide a sequential text which covers the whole of hillslope hydrology as I see it.
