Résumé : | Clare island has an exceptionally high algal diversity of around 800 species and for its size is one of the most biodiverse locations of its kind in the world. The island's microalgal diversity will be further compromised if the remaining species rich loughs disappear, and if there is no control of the spread along its water courses of the invasive Giant Rhubarb. |
