The work is divided in eight sections : section i dealing with regional and country reports, has 13 papers of varying lenght description of current aquacultural parctices over th region in general. section 2 "taxonomy and biology of cultivable species" deals with the culture of finfish throughout the region and in japan and also has an outstanding paper on the pacific penaeid prawn. the other sections deals with experimental and practical work being done, aquaculture techniques, the culture of finfish, pest and predators, the siting and the construction of the ponds and the economic issues.
