This book concentrates on the culture of nonsalmonid freswater fishes. The fishes which fit within those limiting words are similar in many respects, though the details of culturing them are distinctly different in nost intances. In this book what is currently known about such species as channel catfish, carp, tilapia, largenouth bass, walleye striped bass and northern pike is summarized. The material is not meant to provide anovice with everything huded in order to become a successful fishfarmer. This book is writent under the assumption that the reader has at least a modest foudation in biology and chemisty.
