Résumé :
|
Swedish forestry is facing increasing international competition. Improvement of the wood flow towards integration of supply chains from forest to customer has become a key issue. At the same time, both costs and the environmental impact of producting, transporting an processing the wood must be reduced. We present a number of problems which are currently being addressed in Sweden. These problems range from planning at the strategic level through to the operational level. We define the problems and suggest how they may be modelled and solved. When the model has been tested on real-world data, summary results from the tests are presented in the report.
