Résumé :

The study focuses upon the impact of climate and man on land transformation in semi-arid regions in central Sudan. Remote sensing monitoring, interviews, analysis of rainfall and crop statistics, and analysis of environmental field data have been the tools in this research. The implication of the study is that the major impact on the land's biological productivity has been caused by climatic factors and not by man.
