Le but de ce livre est de clarifier les incertitudes et les hésitations de la part des ingénieurs civils par des experts dans chaque domaine spécifique des matériaux polymères. Chacun des polymères utilisés dans la fabrication de géosynthétiques sont décrits et examinés individuellement. En outre, des additifs et des stabilisants sont décrits. Surtout, la fabrication de tous types de géosynthétiques est présentée. Ainsi, les domaines spécifiques de l'ouvrage sont la production de résine, les formulations et les stabilisants et la fabrication de géosynthétiques.
The purpose of this book is to clarify uncertainties and hesitancies on the part of civil engineers by experts within each specific area of polymeric materials. Each of the polymers used in the manufacturing of geosynthetics is individually described and discussed. Additionally, additives and stabilizers are described. Most importantly, the manufacturing of all types of geosynthetics is presented. Thus, the specific areas of the book are resin production, formulations and stabilizers and geosynthetic manufacturing. Regarding the resins themselves, there are individual papers on the manufacture of polyethylene (by slurry polymerization), polypropylene (both istactic and flexible), specially resins (such as CSPE and KEE), polyvinyl chloride, and polyester (both virgin and recycled). Regarding the formulations, there are several papers on carbon black, processing stabilizers and antioxidants. Regarding the manufacturing of the products themselves, essentially every geosynthetic type is addressed.
