Résumé :
|
In scraped surface freezers, ice grows on a chilled surface for a short time, is removed, then new growth starts. The process was model using a PDE and BC describing heat transfer during freezing. A Boltzman transformation was used to convert these equations into an ODE, BC and contraint for freezing in a semi-infinite domain. The ODE was solved numerically for a wide variety of conditions. The solutions were correlated using formulas based on nearly temperature profiles which form in growing frozen layers.
