Résumé :
|
In the worst case Sydney has only six years landfill capacity remaining in the region. The New South Wales Government is using a range of economic incentives and disincentives to effect better waste management. It is argued that depending what assumptions are made, even higher levels of support for recycling/processing waste could be justified. Factors considered are avoidable log-term disposal costs, the potential market for recyclable materials, discounting future benefits and environmental and social costs.
