This Workshop was created as a vehicle to explore the basis for social partnership between non-governmental stakeholders and European policy markers for the design and implementation of climate policies and the achievement of EU emissions reduction targets. The workshop was simultaneously a research process and a process of dialogue between different perspectives. It is part of a series the has been organised by the European Commission Directorate-General for Science, Research and Development (DG-XII), which aimed at creating two types of interface : policy/research interfaces, and policy makers/stakeholders interfaces.
