Steady axisymmetric separated flow at high Reynolds number is considered. It is shown that the body scale flow does not correspond to Kirchhoff model because near the body there is a fairly strong reversed flow causing the secondary separation which is observed in numerical computations. Quantitative theoretical results are compared with the numerical results.
