The mechanism of heat transfer from a wall to a fluid in a turbulent boundary layer is discussed. A simplified model of heat transfer in the near-wall region is proposed, taking into account bursting phenomenon.The effect of bursts on the rate of heat transfer from a solid wall to the fluid is estimated.
