We present several methods which may be used to resolve the structure of liquid and solid foams by optical means only. One system is based on confocal imaging, and two others use variants of computerized axial tomography. In each case we show how the reconstruction accuracy depends on the details of the scanning system and show how much is possible with simple digital video technology housed in a personal computer.
