Résumé :
|
This paper outlines methodological development and operational validation of the knowledge-based Expert System for Border Irrigation Management (ESBIM) which has emerged to provide an intelligent decision support environment for improved surface irrigation management. The expert system involves providing a decision aid tool for identification of optimal and alternate plausible irrigation management strategies to attain adaptive control of border irrigation efficiencies. Knowledge base in ESBIM employs production rule formalism using the artificial intelligence language PROLOG. A dynamic database is designed to link with the system for providing the user with a synthesized management support through an industry standard graphical user interface.
