Résumé :
|
Inadequate supply of soil moisture (water stress) is the most important frequently occurring natural phenomenon responsible for reduced crop yield. In this study, we developed a model that uses GLAI and CWSI observations to constrain (through an iterative numerical solution involving selected parameters and initial conditions) a weather-driven simulation of crop growth and evapotranspiration such that GLAI and CWSI simulations produced by the model fit the respective observed values. The resulting biomass and yield simulations contain the indicated water stress effects, without relying on soil moisture, rainfall or irrigation data. The model was evaluated using spring wheat and corn data sets.
