| Résumé : | Five replacement wetlands in Ohio, USA, were investigated to determine their ecological and legal success. Hydrology, soils, vegetation, wildlife, and water quality of each wetland determined their functional success. The progress of the wetlands was also compared to their legal requirements. Four of the five wetlands (80%) were in compliance with legal requirements and the same four wetlands demonstrated medium to high ecosystem success. For the four wetlands, a replacement ratio of 1.4:1 was achieved for area, and depressional wetlands were generally replaced with depressional wetlands. |
