Densities of binary mixtures of carbohydrates+water at (278.15, 288.15, 298.15, and 308.15)K have been determined. The carbohydrates investigated were: D-xylose, D-fructose, -D-glucose, and D-sucrose. These results along with literature data of other thermodynamic properties have been used to test the Nitta-Chao model.
