Résumé :

The study was undertaken by Norwegian Petroleum Directorate and SINTEF to identify hydrate problems occuring in pipelines on the Norwegian continental shelf. A brief review of hydrate dissociation theory is given. Three major techniques for hydrate removal are discussed, as well as hazards related to hydrate plug removal.
