Maintaining the tradition established in the first edition of this Conference we cover in this Conference the main topics of scientific research dedicated to forest fires. To the usual topics of Human and Institutional Factors, Fire Prevention, Fire Behaviour, Fire safety, Fire management and Fire Effects we added the topic of Urban Wildland Interface that is becoming increasingly important in Europe as well. The present Book of Abstracts is complemented by a CD with the full version of the lectures, papers and posters that were accepted for presentation at the Conference.
