Résumé :
|
This book aims at providing descriptions of natural variables such as ore grades in a mineral deposit, density of trees of a certain species in a forest, or soil properties in a region. These variables exhibit an immense complexity of detail that preludes a description by simplistic models such as constant values within polygons, or even by standard mathematical functions, but they illustrate the notion of spatial uncertainty and how it affects development decisions.
