Summarizes methods in engineering hydrology,fluvial geomorphology and hydraulics with examples of their biological implications,and is written in an intuitive,non-mathematical manner for those who have had no previous training in hydrology.Throughout,the emphasis is on applications,from collecting and analysing field measurements to rehabilitating streams.Computer software is available to allow readers to easily carry out computations without detailed knowledge of the mathematics involved.
